Your Time is Gonna Come

Things seems to have quite literally been falling apart this week and everything kind of came to a head last night. So to distract myself a bit before bed, I did that music meme which has been running like raw sewage through the internet tubes. I was tagged in Facebook (by Rilla, I believe), but I shall post it here. It was good for a chuckle.

The idea is this: set your Ipod/mp3 player/iTunes/Windows Media Player/what have you on “shuffle” and then answer each question with the various songs that come up as you skip through.  You cannot cheat: the first song goes with the first question; the second, with the second; and so on.  The last song is to be the title of the post.

I shall copy Rilla and comment in italics below the answers, except that I do not have her wit. In fact, I will only comment selectively.

But first, a song that came to me just now.  It will be familiar to those of you of my generation who grew up in evangelical Christian homes.  Enjoy the song and the meme.

The song:

Music-ma-meme, music-ma-meme,
Like no other viral that you’ve ever seen
Whatever you want to meme about
Put your Ipod on shuffle and see what songs come out!

I loved your music a meme song. It made my night, and I was a little surprised to realize that I remembered all the words from the original.
