3 Things I Need to Learn

1. Personal convenience is not an excuse to deny my children.

2. It shouldn’t matter what people think of me. Stop worrying.

3. That Nanaimo bar looks a lot better than it will taste. I *will* be disappointed.

Good lessons. Particularly the first two; Nanaimo bars have never been a temptation – way too sweet.

    2. Yes

    3. No! No, no, no, no, no… a thousand times NO! The nanaimo bar always tastes about five times better than you EVER expected! Such a holy confluence of flavours and textures is to be revered, respected, and thoroughly enjoyed at every opportunity.

(But the first two, I’m totally with you on those.)

Here’s the thing: Nanaimo bars *are* delicious. But we were planning on getting ice cream after supper, but I spotted a nanaimo bar on display at Quiznos and it looked so tantalizing. Then I took a bite and realized that it wouldn’t satisfy the banana (or chocolate chip cookie dough) ice cream I was craving.
